ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
The "B" Hive opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:30pm. Daily drop off occurs between 7:00 am and 9:00am. Later drop offs can be arranged with room leaders. During our lunch and rest period, 11:30am to 2:30pm the center's access is limited. Drop offs are not permitted during these hours to ensure that our littles rest time is uninterrupted. Should you require to pick up early, please let us know and we will quietly prepare your child for pick up to not disturb others.
COMMUNICATION
Communication between caregiver and parent creates a healthy relationship and sets a good example for the child. We encourage all parents to let us know what special interests your child may hold. Our goal is to ensure the early childcare experience is the best experience for your child. Parent updates are sent throughout the day through our communication app.
MEALS AND SNACKS
The "B" Hive does not provide meals and snacks. Children are picky eaters and we respect that there are many allergies, dietary restrictions, preferences and personal choices when it comes to feeding our families. In order to ensure that your child is getting the nutrition they need and eating the healthy foods they love, we ask that parents please send a lunch and two substantial snacks. The "B" Hive will carry a small supply of healthy snacks for those days where kiddos need a little extra.
SUPPLIES (Please label all items with your child's name)
*Parents are required to supply diapers or training pants, wipes, diaper creams or other special items for their children. Staff will advise you when your child is low on diapers or other supplies. For sanitary reasons, we do not allow the use of cloth diapers at daycare.
* 2 changes of clothes for babies and toddlers, 1 for preschool and kinder age children (muddy seasons may require more frequent changes)
*Blanket (stuffy if needed) for quiet time/nap to be left at the program
*Water bottle (sent home daily)
*Lunch and snack bag/lunch box
*Indoor shoes/slippers to be left at daycare
Please note that we get messy, because play is messy sometimes. We do our best to protect your child's clothing but ask that you please send your child in clothes that are comfortable to move in and can get dirty. Children who are potty training should be dressed in clothing that is non restrictive.
