Administrative Team
Dar - Executive Director / Owner
Dar grew up in the Peace River area in a small francophone community. She attended the University of Calgary where she graduated with a diploma in Social Work. She later returned to the University of Calgary to complete a BA in Sociology, a BSc in Behavioral Science / Psychology and a MA is Psychology. After working with youth in the field of treatment and assessment in corrections for several years, she left to pursue a career in law enforcement as a civilian employee.
When her family grew by two boys, a return to law enforcement was not realistic so she became involved in coaching gymnastics when her oldest son started the sport. This led to many years of coaching, a discovery of a true passion for gymnastics, and eventually the opening of Artistique Gymnastics Club & Playschool in 2015. In 2016, we added a playschool program and never looked back! The B Hive Daycare was a passion project in 2022 leading to the opening of the south location in 2023. In 2023, Artistique Gymnastics sold and in 2024, Artistique playschool became part of the B Hive family of childcare services. A busy Mom and wife, she is happiest in the mountains or near the ocean while on holidays with her family. |
Anabelle - Assistant Director - South
Anabelle grew up in the Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree.
Anabelle moved to Canada in 2008 where she met her husband and built a family. Since becoming a mom, she found such a passion in learning the development stages of young children. I've been in Childcare since having my own babies. Anabelle started with her own dayhome and made the move to our playschool program as her children got older. Anabelle joined us at Artistique Playschool and Gymnastics Club in 2016, as and educator. Anabelle has held the position of Assistant Director since 2023 at our south location. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, hiking and camping, spending time on the ski hill and exploring outdoor activities! |

Kelsey - Lead Teacher Playschool Program
Kelsey has been with our playschool program for 2.5 years. Kelsey graduated from the Early Childhood Education Diploma program in 2006 and hit the ground running. I worked with children until I started my own family in 2016, returning to the field in 2022 when I started with The B Hive.
My favorite part of being a preschool teacher is seeing the children’s individual growth from the start of the year, to the end of the year. When Kelsey is not working or chasing her own children, she can be found helping out when possible and enjoying her hammock. |
Yevhenii - Teacher Forest School / Kinder
Yevhenii holds a Master’s degree in Education and Foreign Philology. Fluent in five languages and driven by a deep love of learning, Yevhenii has spent over five years working with children of all ages—from first-grade classrooms to lecture halls in trade schools. In search of safety and stability for the family, Yevhenii explored several different professions, but ultimately returned to a meaningful vocation: supporting early childhood development.
Currently working with children aged 4–6, in both our playschool program and Kinder room, Yevhenii is a certified Early Childhood Educator in Alberta, holds a First Aid certificate, and is actively pursuing a higher level of qualification. Beyond the classroom, Yevhenii finds joy in cycling, hiking in the mountains, and capturing life through photography. |
Kristyn - Early Childhood Educator
Kristyn worked in before and after school care years ago before pursuing other ventures and starting my family. Once my children were school aged, I decided to jump back into early childhood education.
I enjoyed it so much I decided to go back to school and am currently taking the Early Learning and Childcare Certificate program. I have been with the B Hive for almost 2 years. My favorite part of working with children is seeing their growth and reaching new milestones. |

Maryna is a certified Early Childhood Educator in Alberta, holds a valid First Aid certificate, and actively contributes to planning and delivering engaging activities for children in the Honey Bees room. |
Haydee - Room Lead - Honeycomb Room
Haydee is from the northern part of the Philippines. Haydee is married and hoping to have a baby someday—though in a way, she already has lots of babies at work! Haydee started in childcare thinking it was just temporary… and six years later, I’m still here and truly loving it.
Being with kids brings out my creativity, patience, and energy. Ever since she was young, she enjoyed caring for her cousins, and that love for caregiving naturally grew into a passion for working with children. Before coming to Canada, Haydee worked with children in conflict with the law and supported women who experienced violence. That experience deepened my understanding of care, empathy, and resilience. Haydee loves spending time outdoors, trying new things, and feels most like herself when she is close to nature. |
Joyce - Room Lead - Busy Bees Room
Joyce graduated from the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science and Customs Administration. She later acquired a diploma in Business Administration here in Canada.
Joyce started in daycare in 2021. She brings a cheerful and fun personality to the toddler room. She is creative and fiesty! Joyce is the room leader in the busy bees room and keeps over 20 toddlers engaged and learning daily. In her spare time, Joyce spends time with friends and family and loves getting our B Hive family together for bonding time. |
Juliana - Early Childhood Educator
Juliana chose childcare due to a passion for nurturing and supporting children's growth during their most important developmental years. Working with children brings me joy, I’ve always volunteered at my church to help with the children in Sunday school or during VBS and soccer camp.
Juliana is a member of our Busy Bees team and a true asset to our program. She has been with us for almost a year and we have loved watching her grow as an educator. Juliana is very involved in her church's youth group during her spare time. |
Caitlin - Early Childhood Educator
Caitlin began working with children at a very young age, babysitting when she was 12 years old. She babysat throughout high school, and when in grade 12, took the Health Care Aide certification. I worked as a health care aide and as a nanny for 4 years before taking Early Learning and Childcare, obtaining my Level 2.
Caitlin can be found keeping the peace and enjoying the joys of toddlers in our Busy Bees Room. I’ve always loved kids and being able to work with them every day warms my spirits! |

Wendee loves spending time with her family when she is not chasing babies at work. |
Mays - Early Childhood Educator
Mays is originally from Iraq where I was a teacher. I have been working in early childhood education for two years with The B Hive Daycare.
I chose this field because I have a deep passion for helping children grow, learn, and feel supported in their early years. Watching children discover new things, build confidence, and develop their unique personalities brings me so much joy. I believe every child deserves a warm, caring, and safe environment where they can thrive. I’m excited to work closely with families to support their children’s development and learning journey. |
Marah - Early Childhood Educator
Marah started with the B Hive at our south location in the baby room. She was new to the field of early childhood after studying to be an electrician in her home country of Iraq.
She chose the field of early childhood education because it has always been a dream to work with children. Marah wanted to support their development, help them build important skills, and have the opportunity to watch them grow and thrive . She has been working with The B Hive team for two and a half years, and every day brings new joy and learning. The children absolutely love her!! Marah can be found spending time with her husband and family, camping or shopping! |
